Busy Busy!
Sorry, it's been a while since a post, but I've been a bit busy with nothing to show for it! I've started a new cake decorating class, but have yet to actually decorate a cake so I can't show you that. I've also been sewing Elle's Tinker Bell costume for Halloween. Yeah, I'm not done with that either. I've also been busy training for my triathlon. I've given up soda until the big day and let me tell you, this is going to be a long three weeks! One more thing...found out that the bike for the big day is on a VERY busy, main road with five lanes of traffic and multiple stop lights. I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about quitting. Not because I can't ride 12 miles, but because I'm afraid I'm going to kill myself or someone else. I'm not the most stable biker! I think I'll put a sign on my back that says, "Stay clear five feet unless you want to go down!" One more shocker...the swim is 50 meters longer than I thought, no biggy, but then they add that it is 16 laps. 16 laps is NOT 50 meters longer, it's 100 meters longer! These organizers must not have passed their math class. Wish me luck!

Meat Heads!
You see some interesting people at the gym at 9 o'clock at night. Believe me! I never understood why people think muscle guys are just meat heads. I think I understand now. When you see the get-up they parade around in, it becomes obvious they have absolutely no sense. A tank top with a v-neck to your belly button... for reals, are you serious?!!! It looks more like suspenders rather than a top. And believe me buddy, you don't need any suspenders holding those spandex up! Actually, the worst are those Hammer pants! Nobody even liked them when M. C. wore them! Don't even get me started on the ladies. Clarification...the ladies who look really good typically wear nice clothes. It's the ladies that THINK they look good that need some help. Last I checked a bandana was for your head, not a t-shirt! I'm NOT exaggerating! If you've never seen this, your lucky! If you want to see this, come with me to the gym. I'll show ya the ropes!
Teacher gifts!
So I just ordered this pattern! I'm so excited to make this sweet apple for Briggs' and Hayden's teachers for Christmas. I know it's a pincushion, but I think it would look so cute on a teacher's desk! It's better than a real apple because it will last forever! I LOVE it. Now I just have to wait patiently for my little package to arrive in the mail. I love checking the mail when you know something is coming. It's so much better than junk mail and bills! I also just ordered the pattern to make the kids' p.j.'s for Christmas. The boys want capes attached to theirs though, so I might give in and just buy the tacky ones from Target. I don't know if my homemade cape would live up to the saftely standards so I don't want to mess with that. At least Elle will look cute in hers! Anyways, I will definitely post pictures as soon as I finish these little sweeties!

Yowzers!
Did you guys read about the 19.2 lb baby that was born? Excuse my slang, but HOLY CRAP! I, really, just can't believe it. Elle was fat at 6 months weighing 19 lbs...a newborn! I seriously don't know how the mother carried him around. I would think it would have damaged something in there! Anyways, here's the link if you want to read up!

In Full Bloom!
So here is one of the flower clips I have done. This is one of the first ones so I have changed a couple of things. They aren't easy! I must be doing something wrong, but have yet to discover exactly what. I guess I'll keep trying until I get it right!

Got it!
I totally figured it out! I'll have to post pictures soon. I also decided $8 isn't enough to charge for them! It should be at least $20!
Pretties!
Whenever I do Elle's hair I tell her we're going to do "pretties". It began as meaning hair bows, but now she just knows that "pretties" means comb her hair. It only happens on rare occasions! Anyways, I was looking for some impossible to find fabric and I stumbled upon these "pretties". I can't figure out how to make them. I'm too cheap to spend 8 bucks on a hair clip so if any of you have any idea how to do this, let me know! LOVE THEM!

Age
I really have no idea how old I really am. I know how many years I've been living, but sometimes I get really confused. Physically, I feel about 15. I can make myself look 15 too! I once had an elderly woman come up to me at In-N-Out and ask me if the three kids were mine because I looked about 15. I said, "Yes, they're mine...and I'm not 15. But thank you for thinking that!" On the other hand, mentally, I think I'm about 70. Not because I'm wise by any means, but because of the things I enjoy doing. Example: Last night I had a free night with just Elle and me. How do I spend my Friday night? Looking at buttons at JoAnn's. If that doesn't scream 70, I don't know what does. Maybe, if I combine the two ages together I really am my age! That cleared it all up for me. What is your true age?

Ode to Soda Pop!
I gave up pop for two years. Two years! That's pretty much FOREVER! Well, now I'm addicted. I was trying to figure out why after two years I would start drinking pop again and a light bulb went off. This is Psychologist Lynsee speaking and I figured out that soda pop is filling a huge gap in my life. I started up again right after I moved to Arizona. Duh! Everyday I went to my parents house in Idaho, suddenly I know longer have them to keep me company so I've resorted to pop! Just like going to my parents everyday, I now go to one of three places for my pop. I just want to say thank you to my pop for helping me make it through this hard time. I will never forget you or give you up again!
My favorite place for pop is probably Circle K. I have not, yet, stooped to the level of buying myself a mug. Notice I said YET! No, really, I will NEVER swallow my pride enough to buy a mug. If you have stooped, congrats, you are saving the planet! I, on the other hand, will be, forever, the girl who wastes my money by buying a new cup every visit. I saw a man the other day at the gas station who, seriously, had a mug the size of a milk jug! Not even kidding! I wonder if he goes home and keeps it in the fridge for the week or if he really drinks all of that in one day. CRAZY! He will die one day from drinking soda if he keeps that up.
I have one more item of business before I close this meaningless post. I was born and raised in Idaho calling soda pop just a pop. I have tried to teach my boys that because they are Idahoan they must always call it pop also. So, what do you call it? Do you call it soda...soda pop....pop....or just plain coke? I don't like the last option because I think Pepsi gets the shaft on that one. Let me have it! And there better be more than 2 comments on this one or I quit!

A Must Read!
This is what I've been up to today....Reading! I LOVE reading! There is only one, well I guess two, problems with reading. One- I don't get anything done! Nothing! Two- I don't talk to Sean until the book is finished. That can create some issues. I try really hard to just ignore the kids and read, so that I'm finished by the time Sean comes home. If you come to my house and it's a disaster I'm more than likely entranced in a book and can't bring myself to put it down. You're lucky I even answered the door! Anyways, in June The Hunger Games was recommended to me. I LOVED it! I had to wait until September 1st for the release of the second book and I just bought it on Wednesday. Catching Fire is the second book and I read it today. It is SO, SO good! I think I might read it again tomorrow. You have to, have to read them. The third and final book doesn't come out for another long, agonizing year! I hate that. Why, oh why, must people introduce me to a series that is not complete? So, word of advice, if you don't want to be hanging off a cliff for a year, wait until a week before the release of the third book to begin this series! Sorry Dad! I already bought you the first two so you have to read them now!
